Day 7 Valentine Challenge
Welcome to our 14 Days ’til Valentine’s Day Challenge! We’re taking you on a romantic journey to spend quality time with your partner until Valentine’s Day. Every day game only takes 15 minutes. Have fun!
You can skip to Day 7 if you’ve been doing the challenge every day.
Instructions
Similarly to a scavenger hunt, you will receive an activity every day for 14 days. By following clues and completing each activity together, you’ll discover hidden letters and numbers. Collect all 14 to unveil the secret URL for your ultimate romantic surprise!
At the end of the 14 days, you’ll have to put the letters and numbers together to form the missing part of this URL: brbymary.com/XXXXXXXXX
You will need to replace the XXXXXX section by the suite of 14 letters and numbers to uncover the secret URL and find your gift.
Prizes
Starbucks Gift Card
The first couples to win the challenge will get access to a Starbucks Gift Card to treat themselves to a couple drinks or treats in participating Starbucks*.
A fun couple game
All couples that solve the clues and unveil the secret URL will win an exclusive free game that you and your partner can play on your next date night. This guarantees that every couple deciphering the clues will receive a prize.
*Note that we have no control over which Starbucks are participating. The card works on a first come firsts served basis.
Day 1
Loving someone forever like the first time is magical. There are many love poems but only one deals with this topic.
1. Check the below list to see if you can find the relevant poem.
2. Once you’ve identified the right poem, solve this riddle together to identify one word of this poem:
It is sometimes assimilated to a lie and can sometimes bare many consequences.
3. The second letter of this word is the first letter of your suite. Keep this letter as you’ll need it to complete the secret URL.
List of poems
1. ”Love and Friendship” by Emily Brontë
Love is like the wild rose-briar,
Friendship like the holly-tree—
The holly is dark when the rose-briar blooms
But which will bloom most constantly?
The wild rose-briar is sweet in spring,
Its summer blossoms scent the air;
Yet wait till winter comes again
And who will call the wild-briar fair?
Then scorn the silly rose-wreath now
And deck thee with the holly’s sheen,
That when December blights thy brow
He still may leave thy garland green.
2. “Always For The First Time” by André Breton
There is a silk ladder unrolled across the ivy
That leaning over the precipice
Of the hopeless fusion of your presence and absence
I have found the secret
Of loving you
Always for the first time
3.”To Be In Love” by Gwendolyn Brooks
To be in love
Is to touch with a lighter hand.
In yourself you stretch, you are well.
Day 2
Today’s activity is for you to decipher the following message together. You will have to find the rule to be able to know what letter each letter corresponds to:
Zpv bsf uif gbwpsjuf qbsu pg nz ebz. Uif ofyu dmvf jt uif mfuufs O.
Day 3
We shared 30+ date ideas that you can do on Valentine’s Day.
One of the ideas is to have a specific kind of couple’s photoshoot. Find what kind of photoshoot we share on our list. A hint is the number 15. The next letter of your suite is the letter preceding the first letter of that word in the alphabet.
Day 4
To find your next clue, check out this link. What is the letter that comes up in each heading? That’s the next letter of your suite!
Day 5
In her song “Paper Rings”, Taylor Swift sings “I like shiny things, but I’d marry you with paper rings, Uh huh, that’s right, Darling, you’re the one I want”. What a romantic line!
Your next clue is the track number of “Paper Rings” on her album “Lover”.
Day 6
We published an article about seasonal date ideas you can do throughout the year. Here’s how to find your next clue:
- First you’ll need to decipher the name of one of the ideas. Each number matches a letter of the alphabet. A=1, B=2, etc…
