If Ios does not come to mind first as the most beautiful greek island for couples, it’s definitely close! Though the island is known as a party island in July and August, it turns into a peaceful and romantic paradise in September which is also the period where prices go down and that’s great if you are on a budget! it is one of the best quiet Greek islands for couples at that time of the year.

Ios island does not have an airport so you will need to ferry from a nearby island such as Santorini which is only about 30 minutes to an hour away. Ios is a small island which offers both the farniente and adventures. The island offers a number of gorgeous sandy beaches such as Kamalos beach and Loretzana beach with transparent blue waters which are perfect to snorkel. Kamalos especially is one of the best greek beaches for couples a sit is remote and very authentic. 

Ios also has a range of luxury hotels that are perfect for a couple of nights to decompress and reconnect with your partner. We loved staying at the HideOut Suites and would recommend a stay there. In September, partying young adults are back in University so luxury hotels decrease their prices. This is one of the ways we were able to snag that hotel for half price. We spent one week in Ios and loved it so much, it tops Santorini for us! We would definitely say that it is one of the best greek islands for young adults who are in love and steady! And it’s definitely one to add to your bucket list!

The island, although still a bit under the radar, offers incredible landscapes, one of them known as the Moonscape of Sarakiniko. This amazing landscape made of white volcanic rock and home to one of the white sand beaches of the island definitely makes Milos one of the top Greek Islands for couples to visit.

Apart from Sarakiniko, Milos beaches are gorgeous, with red rocks reflecting in the blue waters. Some of the best beaches are remote beaches and that include Kleftiko which is only accessible by boat. Most accommodations, even those who are cheaper, are gorgeous and well located. We would recommend staying in Thira for easy access to all points of interest on the island. Second, the island is not short of romantic restaurants for lovely evening. We would recommend heading to Elinikon, a traditional and authentic restaurant which offers a gorgeous view on the windmills and sunset!

The island is quite big with two main towns: Parikia and Naoussa. We decided to stay in the old town Parikia as it is the most connected town to public transportation. Parikia is a cute white washed town that is well animated at night with lots of shops and restaurants. The promenade, the windmill and incredible sunset are also features of Parikia that make it a must-see. 

Paros is the perfect island for couples who are on a budget. The island is well connected through public transportation which is cheap and overall everything is cheaper than other islands like Santorini and Mykonos while still offering an incredible experience.

Paros beaches are among some of the most beautiful Greek beaches. With thin golden sand and turquoise clear water, it’s the perfect place to snorkel or relax on the beach. You can also get cheap massages on some of the beaches and let us tell you that we recommend that!

If you prefer a bit of a quieter vacation, Paros in September is amazing! Temperatures are high, the water is warm but families are already back home so the island is quieter and mostly adults! September is an amazing time for couples on the island.
