This Is what AI Thinks These US National Parks Look Like! Can You Guess Them? Β πŸ‘€πŸ˜‚

Save to Find It Later!

Welcome to a virtual tour that’s sure to tickle your travel fancy and test your knack for recognizing landmarks! Today, we’re not just showcasing the grandeur of America’s national parks – we’re doing it with a tech-savvy twist that’s as fun as finding a hidden trail in your favorite forest.

Get ready to embark on a guessing game like no other. We’ve asked an artificial intelligence to create images of some of the most famous U.S. national parks, and the results are as varied as the landscapes of America itself. From the misty mountains of the Smokies to the rugged ridges of the Rockies, these AI-generated photos are here to challenge your inner explorer. Can you tell if it’s Yosemite or a Yose-might-not-be? Is that really Sequoia, or is it more Sequo-not?

In a world where AI is rapidly bridging the gap between science fiction and reality, we thought, why not let it take a shot at capturing the beauty of Mother Nature? AI’s attempt at artistic expression ranges from jaw-droppingly accurate to hilariously abstract – think of it as a bear trying to paint, only it’s a computer and not as messy.

So, buckle up for this playful journey through pixels and parks. Whether you’re a seasoned national park aficionado or just love a good game of ‘guess that place,’ this is your chance to see how well you know America’s natural wonders – through the lens of a machine that’s learning to ‘see’. Let’s find out, will AI’s creations be a walk in the park for you, or more of a wild goose chase? Let the guessing game begin! πŸŒ²πŸ‘€πŸ–₯️

Alright let’s get on with this one. Surprisingly, we think AI did a amazing job recreating the photo of this national park. Actually, we took almost this exact photo on our trip across California. So where do you think this is?

photo 1

Answer: Of course, this is Yosemite National Park! Can you believe how real this photo is?

See our real Yosemite photos here.

Now onto the next US national park. This one is one of the most under-rated. It is also home to many bears and varied wildlife. But these giant trees are what makes it so special. Any guess?

photo 2

Answer: It’s Sequoia National Park!

It’s quite funny that AI couldn’t fit a whole tree in one photo! We actually had the same exact problem when visiting Sequoia National Park. AI might be more human than we though after all!

See the best things to do in Sequoia and original photos here.

photo 3

Now this one is rarely mixed up with another so you shouldn’t have a hard time to guess it. If you’re struggling, here’s a hint: it’s located near LA in California and is even home to a cactus garden.

Answer: Joshua Tree National Park!

Now on to one that mesmerized us! Can you guess which one it is from the AI photo below? We’ll admit AI got this one kind of wrong…

photo 4

Answer: Arches National Park

We’ll admit again, AI got this one sort of wrong. Yes, Arches is home to rock formations and of course Arches. But this photo isn’t representative of the reality. These two arches don’t exist and especially not under this angle. AI still has some work to do before getting it right!

See the best arches to check in the park here.

Now onto the next one. Which US National Park do you think this is:

photo 5

Answer: Zion National Park

Did you guess it? From experience, we think AI got Zion completely wrong. Though there are some parts with water in Zion, this valley is a sight to still be seen. Zion is more dry and with winding roads. We’d give AI a bad point for that one!

Now onto photo 6. This one should be fairly easy as AI did a great job creating it.

photo 6

Answer: Canyonlands National Park!

Next up we have photo 7. Which national park do you think this one is? AI got a bit carried away with that one and it’s not exactly true to the actual national park.

photo 7

Answer: Death Valley National Park.

The photo created by AI pretty much looks like the salt flats in Utah and not so much like Death Valley National Park which is much more than just the salt flats in the valley. So again, AI didn’t do a great job with that one. Either way, if you’re heading there, make sure to have a tank full of gas as gas stations are very rare in the park.

See real photos of the Death Valley here.

For photo 8, we have one of the most famous US national parks. This park is actually one of the deadliest national parks in the US! Can you guess how it ranks?

photo 8

Answer: Grand Canyon National Park

It’s a must to add to your West Coast road trip!

Honestly, AI did a pretty decent job there. Would you have guessed it’s not a real photo?

Second to last, we’ve got an east coast national park. Hint: it’s famous for its swamps!

photo 9

Answer: The Everglades in Florida!

And finally, one of our favorite national parks:

photo 10

Answer: Bryce Canyon!

Honestly, once again, AI did a pretty decent job with creating an image of Bryce Canyon. If I was showed this for the first time, I probably would think it’s a real photo, even though I have actually been there! So good job, AI!

See the real Bryce Canyon here and the differences with Grand Canyon.

So how did you go? Did you get many out of these 10 photos?

As you can see, though AI is pretty decent at generating photos, it doesn’t always get it completely right. It gets carried away and sometimes a bit crooked. It is not going to be taking over from real photographers any time soon, but we hope you had fun with the experiment!

Let us know in the comments below how you did. How many did you get right?
